Description
Provide the supervision, evaluation, and guidance for the ongoing professional development of education services staff. Provide information to and the meaningful engagement of the Morongo Education Committee in their role of giving guidance and advice to the development and delivery of education services for the Tribe and support their professional development as an advisory body. Create a clear vision and written plans to guide all future program development, including: timelines, structures and resource allocation required in meeting specific educational needs identified by the Tribe.
Qualifications
- 10 years of successful leadership experience in a public or private School Principal position
- 10 years of successful classroom teaching experience in one or more grade-levels
- 5 years of experience in Administration of programs and/or departments
- A minimum of 4-years of successful experience in directly supporting a public or private Board of Education or Board of Directors preferred
- A minimum of 5-years of leadership experience over educational programs operating preschool, k-12, Special Education, Alternative Education and Adult Education preferred

Description
Under the direction of the Tribal Services Manager, the Tribal Services Specialist is the main point of contact for tribal member administrative services and providing information on tribal programs and available resources.

- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to associates degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field and three years increasingly responsible experience in confidential records management.
- Knowledge of Record-keeping techniques
- Perform varied and responsible administrative assistant duties

Description

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in HR, Liberal Arts or related field and ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) years of tribal experience in HR related capacity is preferred.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information.
- Experience with various computer programs (i.e. HRIS, Microsoft Office, and etc.) is required.
- Knowledge of methods, principles and practices of Human Resource Development.

GIS Specialist -
Realty (Full Time)
Description
Under the direction of the Realty Administrator, this position is required to work with GIS related software programs and equipment to create and maintain data and/or maps that can be combined with geographically referenced data.
Qualifications
- Proficient in ArcMap 10.3 or higher, GPS Trimble, and other GIS/GPS technologies.
- Effective communication skills to work with varied backgrounds and convey GIS/spatial information to non-GIS technical people.

Tribal Police Department (Full Time)
Description
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform security protection and provide other law enforcement services to safeguard the lives, property and rights of Tribal members, guests and employees; respond to crime and accident scenes, emergency and non-emergency situations and other requests for assistance; enforce the laws and ordinances of the Tribe, City, State and Federal law.
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school (or GED) AND
- Graduation from a California POST Certified Basic Police Academy; completed either through the Basic (full-time) Course, Extended Course or the Modular Format Course.
- Experience as a Police Officer or Level 1 Police Reserve or other specialized law enforcement officer is preferred, but not required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License.
- Valid BSIS Guard Card.
- Valid BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit.
- Valid BSIS Baton and OC Spray Permit.

Description

Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in social services.
- Experience with budgets and grants.

- Previous experience in a managerial capacity in a larger municipality or agency preferred.

Tribal Police Department (Part Time)
Description
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform security and safety verification for all vehicles, Tribal members, visitors, vendors and Tribal personnel entering and exiting the Morongo Reservation. May serve as dispatcher for Reservation Patrol Department; maintain computer generated dispatch logs and utilize proper radio transmission protocols.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Ability to pass a stringent background is required.
- Candidates will go through a computer skills assessment.
- Ability to type using a computer keyboard
- Must have knowledge in the use of Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to use two-way radio

Player Services Attendant -
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon (Part Time)
Description
Serve members and guests by maintaining golf cart and range conditions and attending to golf bags. Greet all members and guests; provide instruction on proper cart handling and the loading of clubs on the golf carts, as needed. Ensure an adequate level of range balls; collect, clean and deliver balls; rotate mats; ensure functioning of lighting equipment, and tee alignment; maintain clean water in club cleaner and ball washer. Other duties include trash removal, golf ball picking, culling of cracked or damaged range balls.
Qualifications
- The ability to operate the following equipment: golf cart, golf ball picker, ball washer, ball dispenser, pressure washer and golf cart jack.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills are required for this position.

Public Safety Officer II -
Public Safety (Full Time)
Description
The Public Safety Officer II is an armed position responsible for protecting tribal assets in and around the casinos and provides for the safety, security and wellbeing of patrons and employees. Protects Tribal assets against loss or theft, and provide armed escorts as needed. Conducts gaming tables drops, chip fills, and asset escorts. Will provide security during the cash pulls. Stand assigned posts & respond to breaches of the peace. Enforce Policies & Procedures and criminal law & will assist outside law enforcement partnering agencies as required. Interact with patrons and team members in a positive, professional manner. Participate in continuous training programs including semi-annual firearms qualifications. May be assigned to specialized assignments and exterior public safety duties to include bike or vehicle patrol. Performs other public safety related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be able to establish and maintain productive working relationship with co-workers and management and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Have the ability to obtain a NIGC key license.
- Must have strong reasoning and guest relations skills.
- Must be 21 years of age.

Description
Observe casino gaming, via “closed-circuit television” to ensure compliance with NIGC rules and the Tribal Gaming ordinances. Assist casino/hotel operations with investigations when necessary.
Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified/sensitive information.
- The employee must be competent with various PC based software programs and standard office equipment.

Description
Incumbent is responsible for cashiering which includes: receiving cash payments, processing credit or debit card transactions and providing receipts to customers. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, stocking cold boxes, shelves and stand ups; helping with inventory; assisting customers; and maintaining a clean work area.

Description
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform dispatch communications services and appropriate emergency notification assistance for the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and its residents, government facilities/staff, and the Morongo’s business interests. Serve as a communication link in emergency situations until the situation is resolved; answer overflow emergency and non-emergency calls; provide emergency dispatch self-help; and make notification calls to staff, and other agencies on incidents as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Public Safety (fire, police) Dispatcher preferred.
- Must have experience working on computers and type a minimum of 35 wpm with a minimal amount of errors.
- High School Diploma/GED required, supplemented by specialized training in dispatch communications or a related field.
- Possess CPR certification or able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
